Steve January 22, at 1: I Dell XPS One Intel AHCI have easily gotten the password before I doomed my computer into safe mode purgatory if it simply said I needed it in the post. Now you should boot up in grub like environment, select "try ubuntu". Open Gparted, resize biggest partition so we can fit Ubuntu. Make atleast 20GB for Ubuntu. Run the Ubuntu Installer. Do your configurations, select all update options.
Choose the option with "along side Windows". Now you should have Windows and Ubuntu on your laptop!

Also tried reboot in AHCI. I had some boot. If you don't know, running one of the OEM NVMe drives in that mode. My Intel Graphics Drivers don't show up with the SERVICE TAG either.
